No, InRoomMD is not insurance. InRoomMD is a Travel Healthcare Concierge Program™ that provides Subscribers access to the specific program services as outlined in the Subscriber Services Agreement.

With InRoomMD:

There are NO deductibles

There is NO Co-insurance

There are NO pre-existing condition limitations

There are NO offsets or integration with existing health insurance coverage

If you need to access care outside of the services provided by InRoomMD you will be responsible for coordinating payment with the medical providers.

No, since InRoomMD is not insurance, there are no pre-existing condition limitations or restrictions. However, you must reside at least 100 miles from your travel destination and subscribe to the program at least 72 hours prior to your trip departure to be eligible to receive all of the services provided under the program. If you become sick while traveling, you will receive medical attention regardless of whether or not your illness is the result of a pre-existing medical condition.

Physician telephone consultations, chiropractic and medical specialist referrals, and Physician coordination of emergency room admittance are included at NO additional cost under the BeWell and BeWell Extend programs. In-room physician visits, prescription drug refills, eyeglasses and contact lens replacement, and emergency dental care is charged at a nominal $99.00 service fee. This fee INCLUDES the cost of the in-room visit, prescription drugs, eye glasses or contact lens replacement.

Your enrollment in InRoomMD provides you with access to all of the Travel Healthcare Concierge Program's services, available 24 hours-a-day, administered whenever possible in the comfort, convenience and safety of your hotel/motel room.

As an InRoomMD Subscriber, an InRoomMD physician who lives, works and has relationships in the community will assist you with Physician Coordinated emergency room admittance to get you admitted at an affiliate InRoomMD network hospital as quickly as possible. With InRoomMD, you are not a stranger in a strange place.

InRoomMD provides ONLY the services specifically outlined in the Subscriber Services Agreement. In no instance will InRoomMD assume any liability or financial responsibility for any services that are obtained or provided by anyone other than an InRoomMD contracted provider. Any cost for medical treatment outside of the scope of the services provided by InRoomMD is the responsibility of the Subscriber and/or, if applicable, the Subscriber's health insurance coverage.

InRoomMD performs credentialing of all the network providers. This process includes a thorough background check, verification of professional license, hospital, and practicing privileges, current malpractice insurance, and verification of a malpractice history.

InRoomMD provides in-destination medical services that are available to travelers on a fee-for-service basis. This is our GetWell Program. These services are cash or credit card only; InRoomMD does not accept or process any health insurance or Medicare insurance claim forms. Please call InRoomMD 24/7/365 for pricing.

InRoomMD physicians administer medical care consistent with the medical community standards of care. InRoomMD provides in-room physician visits and prescription medications that it deems medically necessary. With the BeWell Subscription Program, we do not provide in-room physician visits or prescription medications that are considered elective. Weight-loss and erectile medications are not included. It is the discretion of the InRoomMD physician to determine the appropriate medical care.

Unlike traditional medical care that you would receive from a medical clinic or ER, where getting back in touch with the attending physician is virtually impossible, you will receive Continuity of Care, usually from the same InRoomMD physician 24 hours a day throughout your entire trip at NO additional charge.
